Dr. Judith Dörrenbächer
Judith Dörrenbächer is a designer who earned her doctorate (Dr. phil) in design research at the Folkwang University of the Arts. She has worked as a research associate at the Cologne International School of Design and at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences, contributing to both research and teaching. Additionally, she has worked as a freelance designer and concept developer for various companies as well as for research and exhibition projects focused on urban culture, subversive design, and social utopias. Her current work centers on the physical and emotional proximity between humans and technology (techno-animism), post-anthropocentric design, and performative futuring methods in design research.
